i dig ya. we have to play a few country songs that are well-known in france, but haven't managed to do "take it easy" by the eagles... just can't get past the lyrics, they make us giggle too much.

"I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man". Not a corny song, except that I played it at a country jam session.

Jaws were still dropping as we left the scene...

I didn't set out to do it. We had just seen Prince in concert, and the jam session USED to be run by a friend of mine. The whole point was to play a Prince song for/with my daughter in front of a friendly crowd.

We walked into the restaurant with all our Prince gear on, and completely stood out. When it was my turn, we did "Brown Eyed Girl" (I had my daughter and a friend of hers onstage with me), and another song (forget what it was).

Then I said, "We came to play a Prince song, so here you go".

A god awful rendition of "Happy Birthday" a la Ladysmith Black Mambazo. omg It was my stupid bandmates' idea, and our manager loved it and made us do it.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
