This is a song that I wrote about 3 months ago. My first attempt. let me know what you think.

She Stays With Him

Every Saturday night

He gets drunk and wants to start a fight

She stays with him

He says things that hurt her real bad

I just sit and watch as she gets sad

But, she stays with him

I say "You oughtta leave him, can't you see

He's made your life a misery

Why do you stay with him?"

She says "I love him, maybe he'll change

I'm too far in to rearrange my life

So I stay with him."

I tell her I don't wanna see her get hurt

All he does is treat her just like dirt

But she stays with him

All he wants to do is drink

I wish she would just stop and think

But, she stays with him

I say " You oughtta leave him, can't you see

So, I'll stay with him."

One night he went too far

Got drunk and tried to drive the car

She stayed with him.

Is this a country song?
It reminds me of a real life situation with an ex, although I'm glad I didn't stay with him, his life ended similarly.
