Really nice song Beau. As good as always. Im not really technical at all, however it does have a memorabele chorus and nice live sound. The vocals are a little in the forefront would be the only thing as a listener i'd say was a little off froum sounding PRO. However it makes it sound like you recorded it in a empty tavern midnight hours. Good jam. I particularly paid attention to the background harmony which is something I am trying to learn that is missing in my music.

Thanx man

The Rose line

I knew He was a artist, yet i didnt know how beautiful of a person he was and his passion for music and knowlede of it was incredible, this man can pick any artist I know and will give me a brief history on who they performed with and the treeline that grows from that artist that grew to become other big names in the indistry. He first had his album dropped on the New Funk Order called "Divination". A very personal record that was recorded after some personal experiences, and thus creating a 2CD set inspired by a friend to complete in one month. Jshua plays all his instruments and writes all of his music. I was taken off guard when i heard that album because I wasnt expecting it to be so ... LIVE and lots of it was funky....thus making me even more interested in him as a person.

This takes us in2 2008's "The Rose Line". A 12 track opera of positivity and understanding of one's self. At least that is what I am making out of it. It begins with a thumping grand opening with a play-like theme with guitars grand piano skittering and even a soft orchestra and marching drums. This is however a theme played much thoughout the rest of the album, especially the stop-go elements of different types of music.
The only bluesy track on the album is the starter "Bone(s)" is about a man who is getting back on his feet and notlooking back on the past. We see this man picking up the pieces on "Unfeeling", a cold piecewith scattered industrial effects on a live backdrop that takes different tempos and musical elements.

The centerpiece of the Opera is "Another Revolution". A headbanger with the most commercial appeal. This Kravitz like track is uptempo and Jshua asks 'whos got the power to lay any woman on their back'. However the message is clear that this man in the story is still has an insercurity and a weakness to society's problems but its musicianship overtakes the 'mask that he is running with the parade'. We stop abruptly and go in2 a heavy synth gospel "Reprise (Poor Man)", a very soulful number and I actually with it was longer..it could have only been better.

My personal favorite "Fallacy" is a nice mid tempo pop tune that sees this man (in my opinion) in the chruch asking God to get behind him so he can 'live again'. A highlight of the track is a use of a cute xzylophone sound that only adds to the tune, also used on"Welcome 2 Lif". A rock / pop cut with same message. "Maybe" another headbanger has some of the same elemts of 'Revolution' and comes as a more dark undertone and has everything to make it a fine musical number in a play...we can only imagine the red and black outfits in satin and velvet. The Roseline can be described as a album about self-encouragement and self wisdom and self revolution. There may not
be an army surrounding one but that doesnt mean one cannot have the strength of an Army in spirit; If you believe you will see "The Light".

The only main factor in the album is that is takes many musical turns and twists and can change from uptempo / mid tempo one listener. The serious writing and the very outstanding production can come between the lyrics that are positive and stays the same even though the music is going through ups and downs in the same time. Maybe that is what a rock opera is all about however... the message can be in the lyrics, or the music itself...and once again the Roseline is a very artistic album that takes more than one listen to encompass all of it. "Damn". Jshua is back! headbang
