Awesome. Did you paint it? Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Yep,
It took me a couple of months, painting it white first and then painting the eye. But most important.....the bass plays great! Only minor detail I still have to find a solution for, is painting the guitarstrap white. It is camelhair (same as Prince has), but in a yellowish colour, and I want it white. peace and B wild

I hear Maple is the only fretboard wood that easily lends itself to painting, as most other woods aren't dense enough.... Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Other fabrics turn white immediately, but not the guitarstrap. There is no such thing as a white textilepaint, so the last thing I will try is using peroxide. And a strong one! The fretboard was first sprayed with a "filler", to make it nice and smooth. Then I sandpapered the whole thing and afterwards sprayed it in a white colour. Finishing with a transparent laquer. The frets were taped very precisely, so the result looks quite good. Cheers..... [Edited 2/24/08 3:30am]
