I've been in a recording haze for what seems to be like months now,
finally the album is starting to shape together
anywayz i posted a sample, listen to it
tell me if you dig it
I of course, as always, hate it, Still getting use to listening to my own voice.
I was so use to mixing normally that i actually mixed the vocals in too well, that they almost didn't stand out from the music.
but i fixed that and pumped them up a bit.
Mind you the quality is not up to red tape industry standards

What I really wanna ask is why you're recording
in the bathroom, but never mind...

Anyway, even with 'these' ears I was able to decipher
most all of your vocals, so that's a good start...
guess I've never heard you do a full country song ever,
so I'm working on getting used to that, as well as
the fact that you're actually singing....but the point is,
I'm enjoying it...

I particularly enjoy the music from about the 2:32 mark to
the end of the song...

What about speeding the tempo just slightly, or would that
mess things up ?

nah i did a sped up version, and didn't like it
My main problem is I don't know how to produce myself singing wise.
The vocals are awkward in some fashions, like timing etc and attack,
But its a first demo, My vocal coach, who's helping me with the recording, is also helping me with a way to approach the song. At first i was shooting for that deep Johnny cash thing, But I'm thinking about softening it up now
maybe a soft ryan adams-esque tenor

i'm biased... coz i just love your wizardry EmbattledWarrior.....

everything sounds good and in the right place over here
