Moderator | Listen to "Josef" New song off the board at digital soundscapes studios. No fancy production, nor overdubs. Just one strait take on quite a guitar solo from Mr. Axtell
Thought we'd drop this one in the melting pot and let it stew. Give it a taste!(1,583KB with a little eye candy) Thanks! www.frankaxtell.com All Rights Reserved. |

It's not a bad solo, but I wasn't exactly blown away by it either. I don't know if I dig the background sounds either, although my crappy computer speakers certainly lessen one's listening experience. It's ok, I guess, but I ain't exactly rushing to the store to buy the CD either. I think I'd need to hear more of Axtell's stuff before drawing an opinion though. He doesn't fail to intrigue. Moderator | Being worked on now.
Sometimes when recording, you use a simple drum track more as a metronome. Especially when working on a peice that focuses more on another instrument. I'm sure the finished output may very well have live drums or a more world beat/ethnic percussion in there. All Rights Reserved. |

Moderator | I often wonder if Prince does this with those "hand claps" and then forgets to take them out later.

My wife agrees about the handclaps also, Frank. I kinda like the hand claps. Great guitar! I wish I could play lead. | |

I'm not Frank, but Frank has had many years of hard core practice and study. Read his bio. http://www.frankaxtell.com All Rights Reserved. |
