This is something I'd also like some advice on. ::waitingpatiently:: I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Check with this guy...he's the only one that I'm aware of in here
that sells his photography....although, I'm sure there must be others. http://prince.org/profile/iGene Most of us here are just a bunch of amateur, wannabe photographers! Good luck!

not really, I want to be able to have my own gallery That'd be cool, to be totally in control, set your own prices etc. but how to drive enough traffic?

I'm not doing this to make a living off it, just a place to show my photos, give the link to anyone I like, and someone who wants to buy a print to hang on their wall, can. I'd like to do photography the regular way, by commission, and who knows, I might still submit to stock libraries as well.

It needs ease of use, one click view-ability etc.

So simple, smart, neat looking, no ads and crap all over the place, something like that? I just realised I came across as totally money-driven, with no love for just taking nice photographs and sharing them with people, all the worse for the fact that I'm far from finding my feet again with a 'proper' camera. I do like to share photographs I take with family and friends. I just want to get a little more serious this year with it. Not to be anal or trumped up, just to learn more and take better photographs and see if I can't come up with images that people might want. Decent holiday snaps will earn a dollar here or there on microstock sites, but I want to learn as much as I can and up the quality of my stuff. I still can't get used to a DSLR though. The d40x is so simple too, like a compact camera really, yet menu screens confuse me and feel so much less intuitive than physically doing stuff with an slr. I'm currently plonking the camera on auto nearly every time.

Actually, I just changed the settings and I like the readout a lot more now. I lost a lens cap within 4 days of getting the camera. So used to the crappy Olympus having it tethered to the camera that for the first few days when I took the cap off I'd just let go of it and it'd hit the floor. I think in a taxi I did the same thing and just didn't realise. I like this camera so far though. How are you liking your D80? :jealous: :but: :happyforyou:

I discovered the LCD at the top lights up if you want it at night time. The whole thing weighs about 2kg, I'm growing forearms like Popeye.
