I'm starting out with darker thoughts,
but hopefully there will be brighter thoughts as well....

The Darkness

I feel darkness enclosing me
even though people surround me..
always on the outside of the rim.
The glass is sometimes full,
other times empty.
I fall and drown in the empty glass
a sense of calm encircling me.

The Sea

The boat left the shore
and sailed out to sea
the sunset beautiful
and the water deep.
I died that day
in the orange and red
made my home at the bottom
of that deep blue bed.

Friendly Foes

Huh, so cold
and calculated.
They say they care
for a while.
But then they turn
and use you, mock you,
and abuse you.

Eve

The face of Eve before me

Oh I loved this one! Been there a few times myself..

such a wonderful light bulb moment
that ebbs away
at the haunting shadows
of the past...

Angels or illusions

You can talk to a dove and so easily mistaken it for an angel
For its words recede deeply beneath its wings
I have had a conversation with the setting sun
beside the Caledonia river and Mount Reynard
Its rays reflect on the water at my feet
releasing silver words unbeknownst to me
The dove speaks in parables about Jesus and James
It Sings songs i'll never understand
The sunset speaks like an old man with dying eyes
Knowing the beginning middle and end of all things
neither talk back in my language
but their power is more than words
You can mistaken water willows for the parting of the red sea
and Manipulate fate and reason to calm yourself
But willows smells nothing like the sea
so it is a great deception to claim it otherwise
Willows will forever be willows
The dove is forever a dove
And i am just a man burdened
Built perfect and imperfect in every way
Try and personify every object under and above the horizon
will bring nothing for they are not human
build pillars and idols, saints and crosses
But the dove, will always be a dove
the sunset is will always hide beneath the earth
willows will never be seas
and humans tell brilliant stories
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

White Cliffs of Dover

Come and walk with me,
I will tell you the tale,
of a lost man and his lover,
South end by the sea,
With a wind so care free,
Beside the White Cliffs of Dover.

If his life’s a whim
then hers are five petals,
Of the most dulcet flower,
round the spring they spin,
A new life they begin,
beside the White Cliffs of Dover,

Her passionate cries,
there he found his fair love,
beside the light house rover,
watched her body rise,
Like a lunar kissed tide,
Beside the White Cliffs of Dover.

So i told the tale,
behind a Cinnamon sky,
Of a lost man and his lover,
these words I avail,
into a jump near gale,
off the White Cliffs of Dover.
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

(witnessed a native american funeral ceremony, Reminded me of a grecian pyre inspired me to write)

Where the Mountains Touch the Sky

When the wind changes,
For the flight of a thousand souls,
the hills and the sea
flow so nostalgically,
and the sun rises for all those,
Who’ve been swallowed whole.

When the moon arranges,
A ceremony to marry the sky,
every colour of melancholy,
take part in the wistful folly,
of a phoenix and her silent cries,
dying admits stars of Aurora July,

When a streamlet graces,
The twilight of this amber night,
The shaman dips his fragile mirror,
emerges with a light, so dulcet and bitter,
elysian fields trigger this afterlife,
My soul ablaze in the fire of the night.

Tears trek to the mountain,
Where the light touches the sky,
the rain gazer beats his drum,
invoking a rhythm so numb,
It lulls the shaman, Lulls the skies,
i know this burning will never die,

I know this fire will never die,
Upon the mountain
where the light touches the sky

With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

Sad Eyes

Beyond the black sail lays my northern horizon
Where London and Paris join the eastern sun
I lay in this bed of virgin white lenin
thinking of the sad eyes of my loved one

The South Wind ropes around my wounds
Like a rising tide engulfing the shore
Pirrouttes of rain bleed down the canvas
Drenching the gown she wore

She made love to me behind the lunar surge
Swallowing her vessel into its womb
Manipulated by the forces of her electricity
creating a sexual monsoon

And now I feel nostalgic for the sea,
watching amongst the widows walk
for a love from galilee,
Dancing with pirates on the ship of my dreams,
Sailing... Sailing away...

Like all my father's before me
Into Nirvanas hands, i lay me down to sleep

Betting on the notion of her love for me
I shall see her again beside the golden fields
we shall forever be in each others arms
for she is my only Achilles heel

Full Fathom five my heart arrives
in a maelstrom of emotion near the river styx
I repent every lie i uttered to her
into the water, i drop her crucifix

Charon please pull me to your boat
for i am sinking with no plan to rise
just grant me that northern horizon
so forever i could look into her sad eyes
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

..... ABSURDISM .....

If I placed a tune at the tip of your tongue,
what song would you become?

A cloth upon your breast,
of what fabric and style your dress?

Your life in the chapters of a book,
of what title and cover look?

Your fingertips a brush,
the picture painted by your touch?

Dang this org... lol

Anyway, let's try to give Adam and Eve a better rap...
make it more equal maybe...

Adam's rib
pulled forth
to make a strong,
yet delicate creature.

Bright eyes like the sun
Flowing hair like the sheaves of wheat
Soft, ruby red lips
and skin as smooth as spun silk.

She lay down beside Adam
and softly asked why she was there.
He said you're here for me
and I'm here for you

And so they kissed
and a thousand stars
came out to play.
And the world went away
if even for just a little while.

Starry Nights

Sometimes i climb upon a mountain top,
To breathe in the crystal air of your imagination
From the sky i watch the river
Of your momentary grace flowing
To replenish this hole in my soul

The air, The River, The Hills
and the sea, take part in a view
of my fantasy, which retains the image
of you

And i'll watch your smile upon the mountain top
i'll stare and glare and they'll ask why?
And i say, Her eyes are in the sky!
Thats why i fall in love once upon a Starry Night

Heaven and Earth

I climbed to the top of mount tai
to catch a glimpse of the morning sun
A voice came from beneath a cloud
and revealed to me a song

"i will give you all the gold in the world
And all the precious pearls in the deep
fame and fortune and a death of old age
All i ask is for you to worship me"

I propped myself beside the cliff
and watched the clouds clear a vision for me
"i only crave silken hue of the morning
yet you offer riches for my belief"

I politely decline, closed my eyes
and waited for that morning sun
The voice came back with another offer
this ordeal has just begun

I offer you Heaven and Earth
and all the kingdoms in-between
I declined again with a sigh
'Kind sir you just can't see"

My soul is without design
I can only experience harmony
Although their are ten thousand forms of life
They all belong to one tree

I do not lust for barriers and boundaries
For i believe in open handedness
I am not ashamed of poverty
In world upon world of spirits

Heaven produces nothing
so it is something you cannot give
And the earth already belongs to me
for i live by actionless action

the morning sun began to rise
and i acended to my feet,
i eyed a cloud with an amber hue
stepped upon its form and asked for its stability

with humble greatness the cloud concurred
and made my weary footsteps firm
many men will see and fear the world
But i am one with heaven and earth
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened
