An excerpt from my new book

First, I have to say it's very cool of the .org to give artists a forum to share their art. Here's an excerpt from my forthcoming "poetic novel" entitled "The Sky Stretches Blue," which is being released October 31, 2007. (For more info, please view my wiki-zine, by going to www.zimbio.com/theskystretchesblue.) Thank U - Welcome 2 the Dawn!

Soaking Up - written by Eric Franklin Crow

(inspired by Sade)

Soaking up
Each note of music
Like the last drop of rain;
Her voice
Singing each precious word
Like the final setting sun;
The stage
Lit up like a star's first twinkle
Shooting across the night sky high;
The band
Attuned to the chords
Like a newborn's first breath;
The crowd
Cheers the signature songs
Like goals at a World Cup soccer game.
All of this together
Tastes like the greatest meal
That could ever be supped,
And Ms. Adu,
I hope you'll come back
To imprint your name on us
(Like a tattoo),
And then wrap us up
In your colour of love,
And sing us to sleep.

That's very flattering. I am glad my work on this project is being well-received. So where is some poetry or art that I can see from you?
