PLEASE help me, I'm on my knees (FAO Cubase users)

I'm at a lost end and really need a helping hand.

I have Cubase VST32. I record all my music on there. I want to burn some of it onto CD using my Nero CD-R system. When I save it onto My Documents and attempt to burn it onto disc, it doesn't let me, saying 'Nero cannot read this file'. How can I convert it to a file that it will read?

Can ANYBODY help me?

Heavenly

If you're talking about back up, maybe just put everything in a zip file, I'm sure Nero won't have a problem burning zip files.

If you're talking about burning the mix, then maybe something's wrong with the format of the file.
make sure it's 16 bit 44.1 Khz

Im not sure what your trying to do. Are you trying to put the song file itself onto a CD for backup or do you want to burn it to CD to listen to it on a cd player??

Hope I can help

Ah ha well then you need to record it as audio first.

Create a new audio track then double click on the little speaker icon at the very bottom of your screen.

A window looking a little like a mixer should pop up. Click on file & choose 'properties'. Select 'recording' (instead of playback) & a similar mixer should appear.

This mixer controls what sounds are being recorded into your computer. There should be a channel on the mixer labeled 'what you hear'. Tick the box labeled 'select' on this channel & close the mixer window.

Then return to cubase & record on the new audio track you have created untill the song has finished.

Once this is complete, you should have an audio track of your entire song. Select the finished track, go to 'file', 'export', & choose 'audio tracks'. Make sure 'selected parts' is selected not 'between locators', give the file a name & save it.

Burn this file onto your CD & it'll work wink

Let me know if you have anymore trouble

God bless

Firstly, thankyou for taking the time to help me.

Secondly, when you say the icon at the bottom of the screen do you mean the thing with the Play symbol in it? As when I click that, nothing happens.

Thanks for your patience.

Cloud9mission - Would you mind talking me through a few basic things about Cubase? Do you have MSN Messenger at all? If so, can you add me, I'm dodwellmatt@hotmail.com
It'd be easier if we did it on MSN.

Thanks.
