Gotham City

Verse 1
I felt the fire, right at midnight
A pheonix rising through the ash
Mercury flowing down by the city lights
Racing down Gothams wicked pass, Oh yeah

Verse 2
Smell the sulfur and sweat of the monster
Roaming in that New York state of mind
Every soul stolen, was only for her
Creating islands of fire,
surrounding my Manhattan

Verse 3
From the sky a flag falls burning
and waves rise forty stories high
Towering skyscrapers in the air held frozen
Screams of freedom begin to fly

Verse 4
through the by-way and chamber of memories
I find a chest with a broken heart
It'd dwelled there for oh so many years
Under a rooted spell
in the catacombs of My manhattan

Epitaph
There I lie above on the rooftops
acid running through my veins
lighting a ciggaret for the kings of all the mountains
As the mighty arks of freedom fall from their frame
spelling U.S.A

Oh i totally forgot,
More good news.
Band and gig news.
I might have myself a rhythm guitarist to acompany my lead
this and a drummer, all i need is a Bassist, and perhaps a keybordist
and thats it.
Need a name now...
ive been in bands before, never one of my own
so anybody wanna help with something clever?

Embattled Warriors, lol it'll be considered lol

Heres the song i replaced Strawberry Wine for

Here Comes the Flood

(Verse 1)
Climbing a mountain of jade and gold,
scouring the remnants of troy,
for that golden arrow of paris
that pierced the void
of the great achilles

(Verse 2)
then i'll search Jerusalem for the holy grail
sip the blood of jesus and raise the fisherman's sail
No more broken hearts that you had me lay upon
no more ropes of pain that you had me strangled on
now i have no fear of death but a fear of life
a fear of love in the artists design

(Breakdown 1)
and when the water has fallen
atop this painting in streams
it will reveal the brush strokes
of the woman of my dreams
a woman that embodies
the earth the sky
a perfect compliment
to the heavenly sinews of my mind,

Chorus
Here Comes The Flood,
waves of emotions hits the shores of my devotion and reveals the flow
Here Comes the flood
riding a storm were the meteors begin to swarm above the world

(Verse 3)
Coriolis winds under an Arabian moon
Calms the barren desert of my emotion
and though all the while i think of you
i still feel the torture of your potion

Verse 4
i unwillingly drank at the moment of birth
Guided by the foolishness of man
Guided by the cosmic solitude on the earth
I snipped the strings and opened the blinds
God of the desert i have you undermined
by the one part of my being you have not kissed
no fear of hellfire from an enlightened mind
shadowed reflection, you do not exist

(Breakdown 2)
and i shall become a color
on the canvas of a new world
and lay my head on
the lap of this beautiful girl
and i shall dream of
Annabelle lee,
and abandon the kingdom
of God and his knowledge tree

(Chorus 2)
Here Comes The flood,
finding the hidden passageway to that crystal stair
Here Comes The Flood
each step leaves remnants of a lost prayer (never answered),
Here Comes the flood,
swimming closer to that lonely face in the sky above
Here Comes The Flood
crying at the reflection in the mirror, when you see your god

Verse 5
everything you've loved has eroded from fire and ice
as you let that the final wave catch you
A Crucifixion will not suffice
to the blasphemy you have pursued

Full Chorus
Here Comes The Flood,
waves of emotions hits the shores of my devotion and reveals the flow
Here Comes the flood
riding a storm were the meteors begin to swarm above the world
Here Comes The flood,
finding the hidden passageway to that crystal stair
Here Comes The Flood
each step leaves remnants of a lost prayer (never answered),
Here Comes the flood,
swimming closer to that lonely face in the sky above
Here Comes The Flood
crying at the reflection in the mirror, when you see your god
