I'd normally say Bjork too but since she's mentioned twice, my pick (today) is PJ Harvey

*She's fierce.
*Her Passionate depths are way beyond deep.
*Her voice!
*Her growth as an artist from Albums like Dry & Rid of Me to Is this desire & Stories from the city/Stories from the Sea
*Her honesty

I LOVE HER!

Thom Yorke (of Radiohead, for those who haven't clued in to this genius yet)

Three reasons:

1. I don't know where to begin

2. We don't have all day

3. I don't need a reason..those of you that agree will understand.

Moonbeam

I can't simply pick one. There is a gridlock 5-way tie for me: Bjork, Madonna, Janet Jackson, The Cure, Eurythmics. If I have to pick based on most timely favorite, I'd say Eurythmics. Annie's juxtaposition of tender vulnerability and strident defiance are oh so appealing. They are among the most experimental artists I have heard. I love their rarities.
