I am very busy with my moving, my trip to Israel and my baby.

Paintings ? I wish I had more time/energy to finish what I started three weeks ago, a family's portrait.

Very nice paintings by the way cool

Family portrait? That sounds nice!!Hope you have much happiness with your baby and relocation.
Maybe you will continue your family portrait later in life.
These paintings have been hanging around my room for more that a year.
Little time and energy for painting is sometimes frustrating when you have to
pay the rent etc.
I wish I could paint and make music all day but I ain't there yet.
Hope you finish it!! wink

Thank you, it's not even for me but for a friend (her kids)... If it would be for me, I guess I'd never start it !

Almost all my work is "unfinished", at least in my eyes. I have lots to do, and you're right, it takes time

Nice. Especially the one on the left with the softer horizon and the diagonal lines. Are you painting from life or a photo reference?

I especially like the one on the left too....I've always loved
ocean pix/nautical images....lighthouses, ships, seabirds...have
you done anything like that?

Thank you for the comments.
I used some pics I made from Portugal and I looked at the skies for these paintings.I would love to paint it at the ocean..might do that.
I also look at other paintings.
I'm working at a museum and I check out and study some of the skies there.
Here's a pic from work and another seaside painting of mine:

I love how "true" the colors are in your ocean pix...very realistic, emile.

And I've come to love Van Gogh.....I went to a Van Gogh exhibit
recently, and although it was all about "how he influenced American
artists" overall, and not as many of his paintings as I had hoped for,
I thoroughly enjoyed the paintings of his that were on display.

Do you have a lot of Van Gogh at the museum you work at?

Edit cuz I don't know English apparently.... lol

Nice. I hope you didn't do this one with the grandma size tubes shown above...do they even hold more than one brushstroke each?

Q: This one seems to have a structured tranquility about it. Is that deliberate? or is it a subconscious reaction to perhaps getting tranquility in structured doses, at this point in your life?

for girdle..It's inspired by Mark Rothko paintings and a personal experience at the beach when I was young. Also from beach paintings I've seen in Rio de Janeiro.
I used different tubes..big ones and little cheap ones..lol
Used alot of liquid oil to thin the layers.

I like it even more, then. It's very color field (Rothko). That's the first impression you get, but the bottom half dismisses that. It's interesting that you deliberately combine the two. Nice.
