we shot a scene at Odessa's bar in New York City...

it was a crazy shoot... it was the 2nd rainest night in recorded history for new york city we showed up at odessa at about midnight with cameras, lights, and the cast... we picked this location because usually its pretty slow there on sundays. when we showed up there were about 5 people in the bar thank god... but when word got out that we were shoot people started calling different people and then all these people showed up.. we had to stop shooting for about 1 hour until it died down. we wanted a closed set for this project because of the content. its crazy what people will do when the camera starts rolling. it was really crazy, crazy. the bartender is a long time friend of mines. he was so surprised... i asked him if we could shot the scene there the night before (he was totally drunk by the way lol) and he said sure. when we showed up he was so surprised... he kept saying to me i thought it was just a hand held camera, we showed up with lights, camera, a boom operator, man it was crazy. but we got the shots that we needed. whats wierd was alot of the people who showed up after word got out are "musician" friends in my circle and of all the people who were giving me flack that night they were the ones who gave me the most flack... bitching about how they just wanted a drink and then got pissed because they weren't written into the scritp. Nathaniel the executive producer, said afterwards that i did a really good job at directing the actors under the circumstances. this projected was pulled off in a matter of 5 days from start to finish and i was told by so many people that it was impossible to do under that time frame. i am truely greatful to the actors who played Maze and Johnny for there support.. I told them what i had wanted to do and they were completely down for it, from start to finish.

we have 2 hours of footage...
