Musicians - Check this out Hey everyone. I've had many students ask me about my practice routine and all the associated questions (i.e. when do you practice, what do you practice, why do you practice, etc).
Upon reflection, I realized that since I opened my studio, my practice was around lesson preparation and not my growth/improvement as a player. So, I've started an online practice journal on my home page blog (not my Myspace blog). I plan to be brutally honest on how things are going. So, beyond the humor of why I can't seem to ever get my reading time in (lol - you know us guitar players, we would rather eat dirt than read sheet music), I hope this will give insight and inspiration to those in the same boat or those thinking about learning how to play an instrument. Stopped practicing - what sacrilege!!! LOL
Give me a new scale and I'm like a kid in the candy store trying to figure out how to make something musical with my new intervals. I'm one of those types that love to practice and always look for new things to make me doubt my ability to play  Then I practice until I own it and all is good again.Like a G flat major with an E in the Bass | |

Hey all, I have my practice journal updated with my goals this week. Considering that i'm under the weather (something from yesterday didn't agree with me - and it wasn't the beverages ) This week will be a challenge to get everything in.
