from what I've read so far,I'm still questioning the importance of an artist "self portrait".
At some point it feels like an "old world" style of expression, that holds no relevance with today's technology.
Yet once you see an artist's work, you want to see them. lol

My brother-in-law is an artist, and he's done tons of self portraits
and portraits of my sister....people are his subject matter however,
for the most part. He's also a tad self-involved I have to say....he's
got self-portraits hanging all over the house. lol

That's great!
I believe self confidence is an important ingredient,
when doing self portraits.

I've been waiting for you to get to that.... cool

Now to decipher that self portrait...I'm seeing some
very familiar objects, but mucho mystery in the clever
way in which you used your eye

Only if he took the photo.
Now about yours, were they all self portraits? (Self Portraits, in the traditional sense)

my first thought was self representation..
....since the actual subject becomes "one"...
I see your point cool

Only "Self portrait"1/1.
In the non-traditional sense.

a part of me exists in each portrait,I'm sure.

They were mainly images with the name association.

But it could be if he conceptualized it and staged it...even if he didn't actual snap the camera.

I see, and agree that parts of you exist in each. Possibly more in some than in the "self portrait", where your guard may have been up. Too bad the images aren't clearer so we can all see how truly screwed up you are. They're nice, though.
