Well, I would like to get a roll call of org artists, because I want to put together a new New Funk Order project....I want this one to be LARGE. We've got huge talent here, and I would like to start brainstorming with you all for ideas on the theme and overall direction of the project! And, of course, I want it to be funkalicious. Yes, funk can be slow songs, funk can be fast songs, funk can be anything you want it to be as long as it's the P!

I don't want anyone to hold anything back....if you've got a jam that's
90 minutes long, bring it! Regular CD's have about 700mb of storage on them, and this could be an MP3 CD, so let's funk it up!

Post on this topic if you want to get in on this! Visual art peeps are welcome here also, as are poets!

UPDATE 3/13/07

I talked with the NFO chief designer, and he is okay to go forward with Project 4!!!! I will be helping to gather songs from you all and compiling them for the project! We need ideas and artwork! Post your theme ideas and art here!

UPDATE 3/31/07

The NFO guy is working on a visual concept for the NFO4 project....in the meantime, I created a place where we can kind of "rough draft" the project together into a "work-in-progress" here at http://www.soundclick.com...erproject4 . I know some of you have issues about the sound quality of Soundclick, so we won't be using this site as the final means to display the works, this is just temporary until we can get the songs over to the NFO server.

So how does this work? Do we submit tracks and you compile an album of the best stuff and upload it somewhere? I've got a track or two I could send your way. Let me know when and how.

Option 1: People submit songs and artwork here and then we can get the NFO chief design man to arrange the project.

Option 2: People submit songs and artwork directly to the NFO designer and he arranges the project (if he's cool with it and isn't extremely busy).

Option 3: If the NFO designer IS extremely busy, then we get a www.soundclick.com page to upload music to that allows us to have genre rankings, and at the same time, have a main page on www.myspace.com for promo and CD artwork/text downloads (and 4 song capability download).

Any other ideas?

You can upload any kind of file here... so it's great for high quality mp3 for example.

I think each member should create their own account there, then simply post the links to their song, etc when it is uploaded.

Hi Flambe...

"Yousendit.com" seem to offer the same deal as well...

you can upload 100meg with limited fuss.....

you get a direct link to the download with no logins
or pass checks.... so its easy to post a link that really
isnt going to cause any drama....

downside... 7 day limit or max 25 downloads per file.....

would you like to share what more you know about fileden ?

Well, we need a central page for the project. I don't care what site people use to upload their files to, but we will need a place to list the songs on a playlist (maybe with a corresponding link for download of the file).
