Does any musician here use a Boss BR-1200 or BR-1600 digital recorder?

I am currently using a Boss BR-8 for digital recording. There are 2 major disadvantages concerning the BR 8:
first: u have only 50 min. recording time and u have to work with zip drives.
second: when u copy a part of a song and paste it to another section of the song, the pasted section gets out of time.

I'm thinking of buying a BR 1200 or BR 1600. Does any orger work with one of the two and recommend it?

What is with your people's inexplainable obsession with digital recorders? If you insist on doing recording somewhere else than where there is a computer nearby, then at least just take the tracks from the portable media back to the computer and do the editing there.

Seriously.

I have a Boss MR-1180. I like it a lot. I've had it three years and still don't know all its functions.

You mean a Boss BR-1180 right? It's an 11 track. Cool. And hard disk inside. I don't have that on my BR-8.

Are u also experiencing difficulties with the copy and paste function as I described in my thread?

Cheers,

Chris

Yeah, and you and can ping-pong the tracks and have lots more tracks available.

I've never tried the copy and paste function, but the song timer is in hundredths of a second increments, so I wouldn't think it would be hard to do.

Fixing mistakes on any track is all I've had to do, and it's easy. Sometimes you need a third hand, though.
