We all know that artists are big on originals but for an acapella vocal audition, w/ a finite window of time to get your point across, I suggest covers. For one reason, familiarity. If your trying to demonstrate an ability to deliver a song well, isnt it better to sketch on a palette someone has in their mind? Originals are great for rap auditions but for singing, I think covers are better. I dunno, what say yall?

Chances are, if you wrote it, you're probably going to nail it just as great or better than a cover. I know I could sing my own songs blindfolded, but no matter how hard I try, I always flub the covers.

got plenty of stations we can throw things at as demo's and they'll play'm

as for the picture..... i really have no idea....

I think both can work....but there's still nothing
better than an original sound...
