EmbattledWarri
or

i'll be honest with ya, ive produce some beats, and this is def not hip hop,
it sounds more like some kinda centurian Renaissance Music.
but it aint band, it could be easily turned into a hip hop song,
just needs a fatter drum beat, and thicker more minimal bass,
The melody is decent but needs to be minimal,
and more punchy, stablike,
the strings are at the middle are decent

but this aint hip hop man sorry,
if ya like, i can develop a Beat for you , free of charge
thats hip hopish, and if you dig it you can finish surrounding te arrangement around it
cause as long as the drums are pretty much hip hoppish,
you pretty much can get away with this
I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned
With the Sunset forgetting, i ever Happened

embattled warrior... i know what you mean... in the form it is in right now it is not hip-hop but just wait until i put synthesizer sounds to it and embellish and change the sound of the drums - then i would like to get your opinion again - i greatly appreciate your honest opinion by the way and hope that these constructice criticisms keep coming (don't ever get soft on me biggrin )

thanks for the offer of developing a beat for me but I can't accept. I'm trying to make my own beats now but i'm really interested in hearing your beats... are they online?

groovy, i don't know what i was going for biggrin . I just wanted to make a hip-hop beat.

where i'm getting this hip-hop vibe - here's the story... hip-hop was really the first music i ever loved. When I was 7-8 years old I had older friends in my neighborhood who listened to rap and so did their older brothers. They had Dr.Dre, Warren G, Snoop Dogg, etc... and i loved it all (Regulators!). I listened to hip hop from 7 years old to about 16 years old. At 16 years old Michael Jackson (who was my favorite artist by far when i was younger) came out with his invincible cd and i then rediscovered his music. That got me into prince which got me into the beatles which got me into the beach boys, frank zappa, captain beefheart, tom waits, randy newman, joni mitchell, etc... I thought all of this music was so good I started to proclaim "hip hop sucks" (how arrogant) for 5 years. now i'm 21 and about a month a go i had this strange desire out of nowhere to listen to eminem. I put it on and i loved it more than ever. then i started listening to tupac, dre, snoop, and i just discovered Gang Starr (who are incredible - especially at making beats.) i don't know what has gotten into me but i love hip-hop again.

OK, this really does have a Renaissance flavor to it...makes me think of
the music I hear when I hit the local Renaissance Fair every couple of
years....but that's a good thing..... thumbs up!

Now I'm anxious to see/hear where it goes from here...
