Prince-inspired track using Linn drum sounds

Hi everyone!

My musical partner and I produced a funky Prince-inspired track after my friend sampled all the great sounds out of the Linn Drum. My friend played the bass and various keyboard parts. I did the drumtrack, the guitar and some other keyboard parts. Maybe we're gonna add some vocals, but we're both not very comfortable about our voices...

I wonder if people dig this tune and I'm looking for some feedback. I can send the track to you by e-mail. I would really love to hear some responses from you! Let me know if you're interested and I'll mail the song to you. Of course you can send me an orgnote if you don't want to reveil your e-mail address to the entire Org...

Greetz,

Geoffrey

To Paisley2002:

No, my friend has a lot of friends that make electro music. They tend to use vintage synths and drumcomputers. One of them (the in electro-world quite famous "I-F" from Bunker Records)decided to clear up his studio and sold his Linn to a close friend of him. And that's where he sampled the machine. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Paisley Park unfortunately!

there r Linndrum samples all over the internet and on compilation CDs. Prince was not the only famous Linndrum user, u know.. much of Peter Gabriel's 80s stuff was done on one. Listen 2 80's rock and u'll hear it quite a bit. Prince's loopz were always the funkiest tho!

Check it out!

There were two main Linn Drum Machines Prince used, the LM-1 and the LinnDrum.

Check out my thread, I have photos of both there!

I'm going to org note you so you can send me the song!
