Langston Hughes House

My good friend Marc Cary is involved in a project that revives the artist spirit of Harlem. They have reopened the Langston Hughes House at 20 East 127th Street. The vision is a place for artists to come and chill out, swap ideas, and perform in a non commercial enviroment.

I went to the opening last night. Very nice. They had some spoken word poets while the band played. A type of Def Jam Poetry feel. Every night promises to be different.

All artists are welcome to drop by. Poets , musicians , sculpters, painters- anyone interested in art in a free form.

They have a full schedule this month in honor of Black History.
