what do u want to accomplish with your music and how will u go on doing it so knowing the music industry ain't great?

The message. Since I can't burn down the house, I gotta burn down the mind. Out with the negative, in with the positive. I don't care about making money from it. I just like to share the music and the message.

My goal is to take the message to the people.
Utilizing intelligent lyrics, funk and blues to do so.

I'd like to say I don't want to make money at it but I'd love to be able to support myself with it (house payment).

The first step is actually putting an mp3 online and getting some feedback. Hopefully in the next month or so.

When I look at the world, I see a place devoid of the feeling with which it was created. The Lord created a world full of great variety, hope & love. But love is rapidly replaced by hatred in our modern society & it is this fact that keeps mankind from achieving his true purpose. God taught mankind that love is the key 2 peace on earth & that we must 'love thy neighbour'. As man further ignores the Creator, he further ignores himself & his purpose in life.

Often, when a human being contemplates his ability 2 feel love, it is either clouded by transcendence in2 physical or is 4gotten altogether. As mankind continues his mission 2 b independent of its Creator, it is easy 2 forget that the ability 2 feel love is God's gift 2 mankind. We can often see this in God's other creation's inability 2 feel love in the same way that human beings r capable. 2 ignore this must there4 b 2 ignore God.

God shows his love 4 mankind by attributing a creative gift 2 each of his children. God loves creation & so has enabled his children 2 do the same. Some r painters or writers & I am a musician. The bible continually makes reference 2 musicians throughout its text & displays them as those responsible 4 conveying a message of some kind. My message is as follows:

The expression Cloud9 means 2 b content with your life - happy. The purpose of The Cloud9 Mission is 2 inspire love, joy & inner peace with the music I create.

Music has deteriorated & become devoid of God's love. Music is a means of expressing ones soul through the mediums of sound & thought. God gave us this ability 4 a reason - 2 bring us solitude & positivity in an otherwise negative world. 2 use music 4 negativity, is 2 b 4ever afraid of what u find inside ur soul.

Basically, I believe that there are not enough artists in the world who put their heart & soul into their music. Im hoping to change the music industry in this way & set an example to other artists. Music is not just learning to play an instrument & recording songs, its the motivation behind this thats more important. Play from the soul

i learned a few things like stay on your path no matter what and acheive higher with using what God taught us like honest and kindness.

i feel so ashamed for making the reference.

I enjoy writing music for fun, but lately I've been finding new and better ways to create music (if only I can be more patient), and I'm starting to feel almost a leading and purpose in putting a message to the music. I'm excited to see how God will work through me this next year.

Well, I'm definitely not persuing a record with one of the big companies. If one of them comes to me, maybe I'll think about it. But that wont happen for a long time. If anything, I would go with an independent label first, or start my own one. Who knows. I'm not really worried about the industry now.

What I'm doing now is treating it like any other business someone might start. I make something and put it for sale. I'm recording it all at home, and I'll be burning each cd one by one, making the labels and puting together the jewel cases. I'm going to put up a temporary website really soon with just mp3s so you all can at least listen to what I'm working on. Once the music is ready for release I'll put up a better website. I have lots of design ideas and pictures for all of this.

After that's all taken care of, I will look for people to perform with me live. Hopefully even find a permanent collaborator. But one step at a time.
