A lot of my sound is based on SRV's setup, so I use the blue Dunlop Gator Grip 1.44mm. They're great for playing my 11- and 12-gauge setups.
I used to be king of the Fender mediums, though...

At the moment I'm into these Fernandes 'Slipless Picks'. I use the Heavy.
They have a blob of rough-textured material in the middle, kind of like fine sandpaper or emery board. Helps me to get a good grip since my hands tend to sweat a lot

On my archtop with .11's: I use something similar to this--Dunlap nylon .88mm on my electric, and I believe it's .73mm for acoustic. [Edited 12/24/06 19:51pm] My Legacy

Dunlop for me - the purple heavy ones with the powder on 'em that wears off after a few days. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Ordinarily I'd use the blue Dunlop tortex 1mm, but at the moment I'm loving the fistful of free London Guitar Show picks I got earlier this year. I thought they'd be really cheap, crappy things that would wear out in a week, but as it happens, they're actually very good! Medium-heavy weight, very durable smooth plastic, especially good for sweep picking I find.
