These are alright...I would suggest a better resolution as things are looking a little grainy...also, if you could add color sparingly to images it has a more dramatic effect (as opposed to making an entire image purple)

or

gotta agree with slave the, some pictures are really grainy, so a better resolution would, suit, the black and white is kinda dull in my opinion,
i use to shoot black and white myself, work on your shadow and light contrast,
other than that i think its pretty decent,

I like them! Especially the backyard picture with the fence. Reminds me of growing up in the Midwestern city I grew up in!

Very nice!

the composition and subject matter are nice. However, the light on all of them, except for the sky/ocean shot (the most beautiful one in my opinion) is pretty flat. The trick with good photography is to look for the light. Side lighting, lighted accents, light and dark spots, are what make the image dynamic and professional looking. You've got a good eye, now look for the light, paint with light.

What I'm trying to say is the light should shape the objects and lead your eye around the frame. Another hint is to incorporate more depth of field -- objects in the foreground and background give an image dimension, more of a 3D quality.

Also a nice shallow focus can bring out certain parts of the frame while blurring other parts. It makes it more interesting rather than having everything in focus.

depth of field... thumbs up!

on another subject,
must say, i do like grain though... it can give a surface interesting texture. but you have to go all the way on that.

I'm assuming one has to be a member of myspace in order to see your pix.
It asked for me to sign in...and since I'm not planning to join, guess those
of us who aren't members won't be able to see them.

Yes, the new sig....makes me ponder about what I can do
to "enhance" my happiness as I go into the new year. Happiness is all
a state of mind afterall, and we ourselves alone are the only ones who
can decide our own state of happiness.

A little something to ponder today.... biggrin

I saw the new pics, very nice. How about shooting some with faces/people? I know that takes more work, but could be interesting.
