u gotta check this bassist out. his name is RODNEY CURTIS. he used to play for p-funk. they call him "skeet" he now plays for maceo parker. try to find p-funk live ot the beverly, aqua boggie, bernie worrels "all the woo in the world". if u hear him with maceo you wont be impressed, but if you can find any of the mentioned albums/cds, you will be.i heard him at a soundcheck for p-funk and he played jacos "a portrait of tracy",note for note. skeet aside, others include JACO, Jimmy Haislip, Bootsy, Louis Johnson, Greg Howe, Ray Brown, Francis Rocco Pristia, Billy Sheahan, Victor Wooten, Walter "Junie" Morrison, Les Claypool, Geddy Lee, Will Lee, Wilbur Basccomb, Anthony Jackson, Stanley Clarke, and Prince, just to name a few. | |
