This just gave me an idea... We're going to have to go somewhere we can have like an open-mic showcase next time. We can all request songs from each other and maybe even record or at least jam with each other. That would be soooo cool.

when i first saw vina i seen this light around her. I was so nervous because it was the kinda light that one sees around someone in love. she had this glow about her and a smile that was so bright and inviting. we didn't really get to talk much one on one the first night because there were so many of us there.

the george and i had been out the night before partying HARD because he just finished recording his album with the Attorneys... so when i seen them.. everyone at the table everyone was so well put "together" relaxed and causal. and i was so friggin nervous.. Styles was waiting for us outside... calling me on the cell phone which was so great... when i ran up to him and hugged him it felt like hugging my brother whom i hadn't seen since we were kids... it felt like family. it was incredible to look into his eyes and see him for the first time after having so many conversation on the phone. LONG ONEs.... lol.

William and i had gotten there about 45 minutes early and everyone still hadn't arrived we had just a few dollars and less sleep. it was raining and i had on my hat which was getting wet... i hate that by the way... getting wet in the rain. so we decided to walk around the area to kill some time. we wanted to be the last ones to enter. kinda fashionable late... you know. well when we realized we were the first ones there and on top of that it was a vegatarian place we decided togo get some MEAT... there was a hot dog stand just at the end of the corner so we hit that place up for a chili cheese dog, my favorite and a dog with everything Ryans favorite. so we chilled there eating those dogs and all i could think about was... oh no these guys are gona hate me... look at me just a ragady as can be... Gutter Trash. you know...

i had met marc a few night before over in the east village... he was a really big surprise because i had no idea what he looked like or what he was about...
i thought that he was really cool... the way he moved was very elegant.. smooth. we had met up a couple of days earlier after a few phone calls to each other to meet. finally when we did we had just a few moments and ran into each other on the street. he noticed me befor i noticed him.. i had no idea what to look for... and he doesn't sound the way he would look on the phone. we went and pizza at one of his favorite place's in the village and sat and talk for a few. its always strange to me when i meet someone and have to discribe myself to them.. like what i do, what my music sounds like, what am i doing now.. where do i work... that sort of thing. hopefully we get to work together on some things. i really like marc we have something in common.

so there we all are at the table. after a while i didn't feel nervous we were all sitting down just being "family" you can say. i am always surprised when people know me by my work other than the people i hang out with... even though its put up here on the org and at the nfo... i never really feel like its view by anyone... if that makes sense.



after we all had eaten everything in site... lol. p.s. the food was great don't ask me how they make chicken from something thats not a chicken but they do and its good. so we walk everyone to the car. huggged each other looked at each other and said our good byes...


afterwards, William, Marc and I went over to this mexica restraunt and got a picture of margarita... and got kicked out...!!! now that was funny.


i had said at the table that i thought that during this "meeting" the skys were gona open up because all the unanswered questions that i had had been holding would be answered and that God was gonna somehow be revealed... The NewFunkOrder was meeting together and the world was gonna change for the best. hmmmm. funny thing.... hmmmm.



there are so many things i wanted to say and wanted to hear during this time...
i just hope i manage to get across how much i appreciate the time shared with friends... not only at this dinner but here on the org and over there at the newfunkorder.

we are never guarenteed our next breath. so while i think of this night i take a deep breath for us all.

anyhow.... just a small insite to one of the coolest nights of my life i wanted to share while i had some extra time on the computer at the library.

What a beautiful thought... I'm so glad you shared a bit of your experience... Takes me back to that day. It was so wonderful and I can't wait to do it again. It's so great how connected we all are. I mean, if you think about it, this is pretty amazing. We all met, right here on Prince.org... And now we know each other as family. So beautiful...
