"In Your Lover's Arms".....new love ballad by me. This is a really nice song for people who feel down about being lonely. Titled "In Your Lover's Arms, I recorded this a few months back. This link to the song is on my yahoo briefcase, so be patient, it will download the whole song to your computer. Tell me what you think of it.

I like the melody and the whole song very much (It's a keeper on my HD). If you can handle a bit of constructive criticism I'll have to say though that some of the synth sounds you used could have been a bit more up to date. Just, you know, get a cracked copy of Reason or something

Thank you, Nova. I know about the sounds on some of my stuff. I don't have too much to work with. I only have a Korg n364 and no external synths (except a votec voice synth) Other than that, I just use what is programmed on the board. I have an 8 track Tascam CD recorder and a noise reduction machine. I sold all of my Mark McGwire baseball cards a few years back after he broke the home run record and I bought it all. I'm financially as poor as a church mouse right now. Frank Axtell, another org artist, has offered to me use of his studio, so maybe I can update the sounds there. Hopefully, I will be able to get some more pro equip someday, but I really appreciate your support with it, and I'm glad you like it. I am doing the best with what I have Peace, JD

So you're not using a homecomputer-based setup? Right, that explains a lot of the things I heard in the mix. Still a very good sounding mix considering all the limitations you're probably facing with that type of equipment.
I can seriously recommend the PC/Mac homestudio for ANYBODY. There's just too much free software floating around the internet for you to miss. Of course you'll need some hardware as well, but man... the possibilities... I'll definitely check out the other songs at mp3.com when I have more time to do so.

Yep, Nova. I use to have a home PC and I used Soundforge. I liked it, especially the editing functions. But now I don't have a home PC, and I am stuck with semi-digital/analog equipment only. Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate it. I wish that there was a little more $ coming in to help with the upgrade of equipment. Hopefully there will be. And there is always help from Frank Axtell, if he is cool with it.
