Would love your thoughts!

Hi people!

I just put some of my tunes on MySpace, and would love to hear any and all of your impressions, if you'd care to give 'em. Here's the link:

I would only call the first song 'Prince inspired', but you know, any comments you'd like to make, I'm all ears! smile

I'm not even sure I'm hearing the Prince inspiration on that one,
but whatever you say.... lol

Actually I'm really enjoying that one and "So Dear So Fine" which
has a really catchy tune to it... cool

So dear so fine..... this really easy to get into
Best remembered.... same as above ... with the guiguitar sound
drawing you in at the start of this track... love that sound....

also listened to Least and All I'm after...

Its got a Morrisey/Leonard Bernstein feel for me.....
You seem to put it all together really really well...

cool

Hey, thank you for your opinions, guys! You know how it is - I'm so used to these songs, I have no idea what effect they might have anymore. I wish MySpace would let you put more than 4 songs up. razz

Anyway, thank you very much for listening, and chiming in! smile

Ha! No... but since you asked, here's the lowdown:

On these songs I played my Roland XP-50, Fender Telecaster (Squire), and tambourine. The drums on The Least I played live on an old Pearl kit borrowed from a friend (augmented by drum samples from my XP-50, since I recorded the acoustic drums with one room mic).

My mic is an Apex 420, and all the songs were recorded and mixed on my Korg D1600.

Oh... NOW I get it, those are websites! I thought you were jokingly accusing me of creating those songs in that damn 'Garageband' program! I'm so daft...

I know what you mean about finding good tambourine samples - I don't think there are any! I'd recommend getting a real one... it adds so much life! smile

http://www.soundclick.com/
easy for listeners...
and you dont have to download
all those myspace friends, gifs, and
time consuming space wasters.....
Some myspace sites are ridiculous
with what you have to get through before you get to "the music".
Now thats Daft Daft Daft... lol

If you got a real lot of music
this place has got a good side
panel file system and the player
is alright... soundclick is still
easier IMO
