The whole idea kind of lost focus. The original idea was, let's all cover the same song and dig the different takes on the same song.
It lost it's direction when nobody actually wanted to step forward and declare which song we'd all do. So that's where the interest dropped. Well, I would say it's controversy, but there's others who want Crazy You. For the sake of not ruffling feathers, I would want to hear them agree to Controversy too... just so everybody's okay - at least enough not to go away mad.

Thank you, Beau, for reigning this thing in. Controversy it is, or seems to be so far. Don't get me wrong, I would do Crazy You also, but it seems funny how one person putting in three votes for the same song would have any weight.

It just seems that Crazy You can be done so many more ways...each with a very different flavor.
anon? You up for a little controversy? My only fear with this, is that Grey will be doing it. He liable to leave the hook out. You know how he's always leaving crucial elements out of things... I only voted twice. I was about to vote again but I read your comment about that person voting 3x. So funny, I didn't realize you were referring to me. Anyway, Grey voted also.
Really, it doesn't matter which song you do. And I'd hope that no one would go away mad over something like song choice. If it's Controversy, then that's fine. But there are a couple of guys here that could do a really cool guitar rendition of Crazy You. It's also a much more flexible song. Strong melody etc... That's what art is. You take just the lyrics and the arrangement, change the chords, change the tempo, the drum beat, the instrumentation. Check this out. I pulled this outta my ass last night. It seems far enough from the original. I could pull out everything except the original guitar and bammo I got an acoustic "Mad World" kind of take on Controversy.
