What is the best all in one keyboard workstation....I know the Korg triton was the standard a few years ago...Is there anything that has replaced it?
Thanks biggrin

Why would anybody want to get a workstation anymore at this day and age? If you need the sequencer for gigging too then maybe, at a push. But paying for bad onboard effects and the modest sequencing capacity is really money wasted with the availability of software these days. The quality of the synthesis is all one should be concerned about. Of course some of the old manufacturers still add that extra workstation "functionality" to boost up that price tag. All in one is always a bad choice, in my opinion.

Well, not just an opinion.

I agree. I had a Trition and a motif and more recently a Fantom x6. All great boards but i found i always used sofware for sequencing so I got rid of them in favor of rack mount sound modules and software plugins. I am a string player so i may be bias becasue i planned for any keys player that came along to have there own gear. You can do everything studio wise and live with a standard midi controller and some software plugins for a whole lot cheaper.

Depends on your budget.
Korg OASYS $8,000.00
Yamaha Mo 8 $2,500
Korg Titon Extreme $2,200
Roland Fantom
Kurzwiel 2600 XS

Those would be the top 5 in my opinion.

The only problem I have with software synths is the ever changing OS. When they change more times than not u have too as well.
