Artists and Writers: Send me your crap! Howdy.
I'm starting work on a new 'zine called THE GLEE CLUB. If the title sounds familiar, it's because I had a blog of the same name for the past year or so. I've decided that, while blogs are fun and all, I really miss photocopiers and X-acto knives. SO, I'm working on a 'zine which I plan to have printed by the end of June. The theme for the first issue is more relevant to the contributors than it will be for the readers - to start things off, I'm kinda piecing together an informal literary journal. By "literary journal", I don't mean anything particularly lofty or academic. In fact, the less serious the better. I want it to feel like a grab bag of fun stuff - something that readers will flip through over and over, looking for little details they might have missed the first time they scanned through the 'zine. Basically, if you have any drawings, poems, essays, comix, stories, etc. that you can't find homes for, send 'em to me. I'm wanting to keep it light - not necessarily "gentle", but whimsical, nonsensical, stoopid, etc., so please send me your most ridiculous material. E-mailable material is ideal, but whatever you have, just send me a message on here and we'll chat about how to get the work from you to me. OH: I intend to submit this 'zine to be sold at Chicago's Intonation Music Festival, and I also hope to have it distributed at a couple of Chicago's most popular 'zine/comic shops...just so's ya knows where GLEE CLUB will be popping up initially... (And for folks who want to write/draw Prince related stuff, I can use it...but not right now. If I can manage to crank out this first issue, I plan on having an upcoming "pop idols" theme issue and I'd love lots of Prince-related stuff for that.)

Cool idea. Good luck with this. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
