Somewhere

Somewhere,
Someday we’ll get there.
Maybe you will too.
I see Somewhere,
Far on the horizon,
I see a haven that’s
Just made for me and you.

Somewhere,
I want to live there.
Live in a dream where knights take flight.
To safeguard princesses that sleep,
In slumbered beauty so deep.
No harm shall come to them,
Forever in the light.

Somewhere,
Living together,
No hatred clouds the skies.
A graveyard of yesterday’s hatchets,
And bloodshed there remains,
Where flowers rise from dusty earth,
To flood everyman’s eyes.

Somewhere,
Where is the Somewhere?
Where is the place to which we go?
Where love grows on trees,
And joy floats on an eternal summer breeze.

This isn’t Somewhere.
But someday we’ll get there.
