Good song, I like your approach. Yeah shame about the low production values on the vocals. You could easily acquire yourself better gear for the same amount of money as proper studio time would cost you and learn to use EQ and dynamics processing a bit more.

Just be always careful with your money. There is so much crap out there these days on the microphone/preamplifier/dynamics front-end -market now that home recording has become so commonplace. You can always ask, for instance, people here what they are using and also ask for sound samples - so at least you'll have some indication on how things will really sound like.

Unfortunately everything is going to cost.

Isaiah's original version is on his soundclick site at www.soundclick.com/izak1z . Me and Isaiah's new group, "Spooky Action Heroes" will have an EP release very soon, titled "Drive Me" that will have 4 different mixes of the song along with other tracks.
