Moderator | I'm afraid I need instructions as well. For starters, because of the long file name, when it downloaded what ever file extension was cut off. I don't know what to re-name it to. All Rights Reserved. |

Well first off I'm assuming you saw that these are for use on a Mac only. They're Mac 128x128 pixel icons (as opposed to Windows 64x64 icons) which you can use to replace various standard icons on the Mac. For instance, I use the album cover ones on the folders that contain the corresponding Prince album MP3s on my Mac. To use them, download the Zip file and decompress. You'll then have a folder which when opened contains all the icons shown in the picture at the start of this thread. Select any Prince Icon that you'd like to use, press 'Apple' and 'i' to bring up the info box, click on the mini icon, and copy. Then select any folder (or application, document etc.) that you wish to change the icon of, again bring up the info box and click on the mini icon, but this time paste. The icon of the item you selected will now be replaced with the Prince icon you copied. Hope this helps. "Everybody want what they don't got..." | |

Moderator | WORKS NOW! Going through the MAC help, it said to open the icon files in photoshop or preview and copy it, THEN paste in the info window of the file or folder. They don't open in photoshop any of the other dozen or more graphic programs I have.
Your instructions worked just fine. THANKS! I have an entire hard drive of prince albums and boots. This will make 'em nice, neat and organized. All Rights Reserved. |
