i like the first one. i love ur eyes in the second one and the blue. and te font u used to write Vina Blue but im not sure about the other font.

First, it's impossible for you NOT to look good. But I think this cover in particular is downright ferocious! I thought the earliest version of this photo was a bit too intimate and raw -- almost porno box-looking. (And the blue tinted version is a bit predictable.) BUT with the color cranked up like this, it suddenly becomes less intrusive and more fantastical -- in a word, erotic art!

Also, this transparent look that your name has is FANTASTIC and very professional-looking. For kicks, though, I'd be interested in seeing it in the Arabesque typeface that Peter did for you (NOT the title... only your name). I think that font with the above effect (if it's possible) might look great with this cover.

(...Lastly, if you really want an "om," why not use it --tiny and subtle -- to dot the "i" in your name? That might look clever.)

Hey Vina, I've finally gotten around to listening to your music and...IT'S AWESOME!

Your voice is so rich and clear. The instrumentation, even though synthesized is organic, emotional, and complex, just like the subject matter you're dealing with in your music. I'm really impressed. It's funny, cuz I started out on piano and keyboards, but have really neglected them in recent years in favor of guitar and bass. But you along with my brother are inspiring me to get back to my roots and really dig deep into my keyboard playing skills and writing songs with piano and synth at the core. Thanks for sharing your work!

I've taken a little bit of creative license with the artwork you had available to use for your album cover. I tweaked things based on how the music made me feel - nocturnal, soul-searching and well-defined. I know you already have the art the way you want it, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway...

So I spent about 3 hours tinkering and this is what I came up with.

The front cover:

And I'm still working on some for the inside sleeve and disc. If you like any of these ideas, feel free to use whatever's clever.

Yeah, after I made it I realized that the black around the eyes was pretty extreme, but I wanted all the facial features to come out and the background to be solid black. Reading through the lyrics and the stories that go with each song, I could see the recurring themes of the music - coming through to the other side of a relationship, finding yourself again in the process, wondering where you fit in the grand scheme of things. So I took that idea and tried to make it work visually. You mentioned that you wanted light to play an important element in the work. Because of the minor keys and nocturnal feel to the music, I decided to go with a night setting. I thought it looked cool, like it's nearly pitch black out other than some moon light and that's what's illuminating you as you're coming out of the darkness. Like you're just close enough to make out features. I thought it went well with the "sketches" in the title as well. The back looks quite Bjorky too, I must say.
