I laughed my ass off when I got to the celebrities part.

Grrrrreat drum arrangement. Really I love it.
The Sound quality could be better but this way it sounds more raw.
I definitely feel the funkiness of this cut. I also like the vocal phrasing.
BTW Did you play the bass line live? Or is it presequenced?

Now this one is my jam. Sophisticated drum sounds (I love the cowbell and stick), nice bass. I like the lyrics as well. You could add some phat synth--a couple of minor or diminished chords would do just fine.

"Olive in the Ghetto" That's what I would have called it. A sort of displacement statement of sorts kinda play on words.

When I first read the words, I could here some music on lines of Stevie's "Big Brother" (One of my personal favorites) Maybe it was because of just that one line "I live in the ghetto".

What is the origin of that word anyway? "Ghetto"?

This one is a keeper. I'd like to hear you do more with it. Not that what you have is no good, it just sounds like you've tapped into something here worth exploring some more.
