Nothing to say about that but it sounds like that arm pain is doing better, huh?

i got that synth. let me tell u, some of them have a defect- there are too many sounds on the bank, talking bout the polyphony- it sometimes hangs- u play one chord and it stays there- every other note u play keeps playin- in the end there´s a big sound-cloud u can´t stop without interrupting it with "power off": BE CAREFULL, don´t pick a crappy one!

I have the 66 key Le and it is great - a ton of great patches to begin with, all modifiable, a sequencer, etc. I use it all the time, and would recommend it.
As for the trouble mentioned earlier, i've never had any issues with mine.

i don't have one, but i was fantasizing about getting something like this, and when I looked into it, i came to the conclusion the Yamaha Motif had a version that was comparable but better.
i think the yamaha had onboard sampling and possibly built in drum machine.

I have one and use it daily. I love mine. Does anyone use Cakewalk with theirs?

well, just play a while in the music-shop. after 1 hour you might know which one works or not.

I brought one just because someone suggested that I do it. To be honest I didn't need anymore gear and I just wanted something to play around with (in my boredom) and I've always wondered what was the big hype about the Triton series boards. I must say that this particular keyboard has since become my main-stay. Just turning it on and playing a few notes invites creativity. It to me is a hybrid of analog sounds and ways with digital sounds and convience. The Yamaha Motifs are based on samples where this board is based more on sample manipulation. The manual isn't as intuative as I would like but there are more than enough features and sounds to keep you in a creative way for some time to come. I would suggest checking it out at your local music store or even renting one. Spend some time with it, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Which one would be better for getting 80's era Prince/Time sounds (the fat horns and oberheim sounds)? Kork Triton or Yamaha motifs?
And do both have onboard drum machine type feature and sampling?

get the Motif 8 instead. i tested the Triton and the Roland and the Yamaha Motif 8, and the 8, for me, was leagues ahead in sound and feel. plus for me a great piano sound makes a keyboard and the Motif 8 had that as well. plus, the weighted action is amazing. [Edited 11/8/05 19:30pm]

[Edited 11/8/05 19:30pm] I don't mean to hijack this thread, but whom were you responding to? the original poster or my last question about Motif vs. Triton for Prince/Time like sounds? cuz i have a Yamaha P250 which is 88 wieghted keys and lots of piano.....if I get another board I want one to complement it with real "synth sounds" and onboard sequencing, and ideally sampling and drum machine capabilies. It hought I read that Motif has those things, but don't knwo if it has "fat" oberheim like sounds to get that "Time" feeling.

the only way to lay a drum track with it is playing the keys like it was a drum?

No, you can plug via MIDI one of Rolands, or Yamahas many MIDI percussion controllers and physically play the drum patches in the Triton Le from there. If you have a Roland V-drum set you can trigger the patches from there also but that may be a bit much. All in all I can't speak for what you should or shouldn't do but I am very happy with mine and I haven't had any problems with it.
