I wanted to do a cover of this song - but it was going to be a whole nother song entirely - torch/blues thing. And now I'm more motivated after hearing this!

Very cool cover, I agree with Kelly that I would like to hear this without the falsetto. But great anyway.

that's cool that somebody posted my version of when u were mine, it's from my album that comes out (across canada so far) in february called "Secrets of the Lonely". as u could guess i'm a huge prince fan and a regular visitor to the org. i've done covers of other prince songs in the past like darling nikki, controversy and as mentioned, the beautiful ones, but i always wanted to try a version of when u were mine where the music was as sad as i feel the lyrical sentiment is, so that's what i ended up with.
anyways, thanks for listening and i really appreciate the kind feedback.
