Recommend a new computer for me!

Right now I am using this Dell Dimension that I got in 2000 so it's really time to change. 19.1 gigs is just not enough memory, even with cable it moves slow, etc. I can live with my old monitor, keyboard and mouse - what do you guys recommend. My webmaster is trying to talk me into an Apple (maybe the mini or iMac?), my other buddy refurbishes HP PCs. What do you guys think?

Ditto. Money well spent. You'll get your money's worth right there. Those new iMacs are pretty sweet: http://www.apple.com/imac The iMacs are a little more expandable than the minis. You'll want the full two gig memory upgrade for audio recording. I know a guy that can get you a pretty good deal.

Besides, I need someone else on here to have iChat as well.

Works fine for me though I wouldn't recommend buying a computer built on entirely different technology soley on NPGMC.

Absolutely mac 's and orange 's.

I'm afraid the Mac mini will only be a tease to you. I highly suggest the iMac at the very least. On the flip side, it's really afordable and you can use your current monitor, keyboard and mouse with it.

But I have this feeling, you'll be wanting more after getting it and it's just not that expandable.
