Hey guys,
Kelly called today to tell me that I lost my patio in back of my house and also a large grapefruit tree loaded with almost ripe fruit...oh well it's only stuff and life is more than just about stuff. It seems that half of the patio landed in this large tree in my front yard! Meanwhile, I escaped to Lakeland (guitars, amp, pedalboard and Mac G5 in the back of my Toyota 4Runner) which is 30 miles northwest of Tampa. It beautiful here 50 degrees tonight...the first "cold snap of the year. Hopefully Allstate will pay for my hurricane damages. As soon as power is up in West Palm Beach,Kelly will post some pics. Praise God it wasn't worse, I left Psalm 91 on my table at home! I'll post more soon! [Edited 10/26/05 19:33pm] "Study and show yourself approved"

Be careful even with a belt and shirt tucked in because there might be loose snakes and other creatures that have been disturbed. Yikes!!! | |

Be careful even with a belt and shirt tucked in because there might be loose snakes and other creatures that have been disturbed. Yikes!!! No Doubt! I really pissed off a opossum yesterday when I cut down his shelter. They are nocternal and all and don't really appreciate being woken up having the sunlight all in their face. I was cutting up another reletive's trees in Lauderdale yesterday and a huge Iguana ran over my feet coming out of the bushes as I was bringing down some large limbs. I was keeping my eye out for snakes and such, but overlooked the little obvious guys like ants. I'm more scared of some of these Florida spiders as they can cause the same if not more damage as some of these snakes. I don't think they are native to this area, but you see them a lot lately. I guess people's exotic pets such as this escape sometimes and repopulate. Keep some of these suckers in the wild down in South America and such where the belong will ya? Big guys like these are enough to scare the bejesus out of you sometimes. Infact, I read that all these ants down here are not even native to Florida. Since the US canaled the whole state up there's just nothing but sand, sand and more sand for these guys to just take over. You can never really kill a colony, they just move on when you poison them not to mention they have no real natural preditors down here either. All Rights Reserved. |
