Origins of light and darkness
begin to fill my subconscious
The world surrounding you in chaos
as some people choose to be noxious

The mercy once given as a gift
is now in danger of being taken away
set adrift by a sudden rift
as the shack trembles on the fault line of mercy

Alone in a sea of mass confusion
alone as the trees blow the wind of illusion
it's leaves are begging with silent contrition
bereaved by the times of sudden perdition

Many of them retreated in their silence
pretending as if nothing was happening
balloons, parades, cartoons, lemonade
as so many around them struggle and die

They awoke one day and fought back
but it was too late, and the approach was wrong
the drums of war by the sword, the fire, the bullet, the bomb
you cannot defeat an ideology with a physical weapon

Love, respect, and equality are the ways
to assemble together the puzzle of a broken heart
yet the masses never tried to start
the process that could have built the bridge

the wind became silent
the people of light began to awake
from the dream that is life
the people of the dark were frozen in time

frozen in the mind- they could not recover
from the dust that withered away the lovers of the superficial
the belief that all things were created equal
was an ancient and obsolete belief to them

The battle has just begun
the restrainer that binds our dimensions together
is letting go of the grasp that has always been applied
unveiling the weakness of those in darkness

who are beginning to tremble
on the fault line of mercy
