Suggest songs for my band to learn here:

Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for my band to cover. We're trying to make sure we pick stuff that people (ok, specifically hot girls) can dance to. Here's the last few songs we've added:

Speed of Sound - Coldplay
I Love this Bar - Toby Keith
Sail On - Commodores (it's a countrified version)
Mr. Brightside - The Killers (I was doing it acoustic before Marty!)
Fight For Your Right (to party) - Beastie Boys
Cum on Feel the Noize - Oasis version

Ok, maybe those don't exactly seem like dance songs, but if you look at our song list you'll see. wink

Songs we're thinking about adding next:

All These Things that I've Done - The Killers
Do You Want To - Franz Ferdinand
Word Up into You Dropped a Bomb on Me medleytypethang

Suggestions?? Remember, it should be something people can dance to and recognize. Check out our songlist in the "Stuff" section of our website -

There's sound clips, too!!

Thanks!!

I heard "Sittin up in my room" by Brandy the other day and thought, "OH SNAP! that would kick the butt".

And TLC's creep. The Afghan Whigs did a version of it that was wicked. THe hardest part is teaching your band the backing vocals on it, but if they got it, you're there. It's only two chords, E minor and C# I think.

Both of those would work the thongs, the SONGS I mean...

I'd love to hear that AW version of Creep (hint, hint). I like doing silly songs like that - nobody expects them. I worked up a funky version of NIN's Closer that I thought would go over well, too. You guys ever hear of The Dan Band? They were in Old School and Starsky and Hutch. Funny shiznit!

Check out THIS jam on that song. Do it that way, and panties will fly.
