Hello all, I'm wondering if any of you can help me out. I'm a little bit confused regarding midi controllers etc...I already possess a digital piano. However, I'd love to purchase a synthesiser, but most of them are rather pricey (although the juno-d is very reasonable, I'd like something with a crisper sound). Anyway, I was looking at an M-Audio88-key midi controller, it has weighted keys and a wide variety of settings. What I am wondering is what accessories do I need to play live (I'm not that bothered about recording), can I hook the system up to an amp for live preformances, do I need to purchase a sound module?, do I need to go through my laptop and purchase software to create the sounds? As I said, I'm really only interested in live performing and I'm just wondering what type of software, plug-ins etc.. would I need to enable me to play through an amp. Thanks in advance
