Okay, here's the thing that bugs me. If you're going to go away, just go away. Don't post a long farewell, (and then return to see if people will miss you) just get up, close the browser window, say farewell, and drop the drama.

Second thing, this is a forum. It's a relatively open forum. That means that people will do and say whatever they want, and unfortunately, there's almost absolutely nothing you can do about it. Your best action is no reaction at all, if it's someone who's just out to get your goat. Second best action is to talk about their mom. But I have the feeling that you're above that, so, if I were you, I'd stick with plan A.

Third thing, or maybe second thing part two. I'm not 100% positive here, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do about a post on the internet. You can try to pursue some legal channel, but if BlueTune MagicMarkerPen doesn't give you his real name & address, there's just nothing you can do. It's freedom of speech gone wild. It sucks, it's been used against me and it's bugged me, but in the end, honest, your best move is to just walk away from the computer... if they really get your goat, then just stay away, don't let them get to you... even if "them" is me, with this particular post.

If you want to publish your writings, you'll need a thicker skin... laugh off the small stuff. Until somebody starts making money off of your creativity, just think of it as MORE publicity.
