Listen to my new album! I decided to have something like a virtual release party with you, guys!
The new album is called "Die Welt und ich" (engl. the world and me). It contains 10 tracks from different genres I’ve recorded from August until the beginning of September. There is some rock, blues and of course – most important - funk on it. As for the lyrics I’m very sorry to say, they are in German. You can hear a little bit English in the title track, but that’s it. I’m not a big fan of using a language I can’t express myself in detail, that’s the reason why. Falco did a good job in mixing German with English. Maybe some of you know his 80’s number one hit "(Rock me) Amadeus". That was cool! The songs are all built around guitar. The guitar is my main instrument, my personal tool to compose my songs normally. So it seems to be a quite logical step - considering the title track - to make use of it. So I’ll give you some hints of what the songs are all about, because to me the lyrics are also a very important part of my music. I’d like to share "side A" of my new album with you. I hope, everybody of this forum has some vinyl at home and knows what I’m talking about! Die Welt und ich (engl. The world and me) … is about solipsism. If you don’t know the word, look it up in the dictionary. It’s a quite interesting theory, I think. Hey, was ist mit mir? (engl. Hey, what’s going on with me?) … is about the mysterious experience of birth. So I wanted to create a strange kind of funk. Klein aber oho! (engl. Little but "oho") … is a rock anthem for the little people. Prince would love this song! G-i-t-a-2-r-e (engl. Guitar) …is about my guitar being described as a sexy woman! The guitarists know what I’m talking about! In der Mitte tief drin (engl. Deep in the middle) … is about not looking back in order to blame somebody for the way the things are. The truth is somewhere in the middle. The first one who names the English words you can hear in "Die Welt und ich" will get a free copy of the album! (If anybody else would like to get a copy, feel free to org-note me!) BTW: I’m very interested in your opinion! If you shouldn't know what to write, I have some questions for you: How would you rate the songs (1-10)? "Die Welt und ich": "Hey, was ist mit mir?": "Klein aber oho!": "G-i-t-a-2-r-e": "In der Mitte tief drin": What’s your favourite song and why? What’s the worst song and why? What do you think about the technical aspects of the recording? Do you have any suggestions for improvement? Click here to listen to side A of my new album Thank you so much! I hope you like it!

it is hard to listen to a foreign language song because the voice becomes a synth in a way. it becomes a sample. anyway, it is good to get aggresive about your vision. good job.

"Lass uns reden" is my jam. I like the groove. Kinda like Laid Back's "White Horse".

Thanks, Tal. Well, we here in Europe listen to foreign language songs all the time... "Lass uns reden" is my jam. I like the groove. Kinda like Laid Back's "White Horse".
Glad to know that you like it but it's not on the new album!
