Last saturday night I played at a Katrina benefit at a local blues bar. It was a veritable who's who in the blues community, and sitting in with us was Charley Wooten on bass and Rich Ianucci on organ.

Ianucci on organ - this guy was amazing... looks like Paul from Letterman - short bald headed guy - but put him on a B3 organ and he's contorting, almost doing handstands, just going BALLISTIC on the thing. Did I mention that he's the BOMB? Plays like a mother.

So we're bringing him in to do some more shows. But I digress. The show was a lot of fun and it's always fun to whip out "Superhot Lady Cop" to some new unsuspecting audience... the first chorus, they kind of squint, wondering if they heard right, then by the third chorus, they're laughing. I suppose that's the goal. I'd prefer them to throw twenties, but, a laugh is just as good, dang it.

edit: oh - yes - they DID record it, they're mixing it down for a CD to sell for more proceeds to go to the benefit, but as soon as I get a copy of my own mess, I'll let you know, and post a song or two.
