As amateur keys player... I've been trying to play by ear more (classical training as a kid)..... and it sometimes can be hard.

Well I'm excited cuz I was listening to Jungle Love cuz I just got St. Paul's live DVD and he does it on there and it sounded cool....very much the way Sheila did it with the Time at the Family Jamm.

Anyway, when I got home, I started fooling around on my keyboards and got the main bass hook, and then layed in the top chord hits on the synth.... it's actually pretty simple structure once you listen to it.

The thing is, I really have no idea WHAT I'm playing... whichis the oppossite of how I usually do it.... I don't even know what chords I was hitting, just playing keys to get it to sound right.

I THINK the song is basically all in one chord.... Ebm.....

and that's the other thing. I never realy got how you can do a one-chord jam..... so maybe I finally did get it .

ANyway I just wanted to share.

If anyone wants to know I can give more info on how I was playing it.

'ice cream castles' was one of my favorite albums to play drums to, back when i was a kid and we had a set in the dining room.
