I wonder if any of u extraodinary musicians and technical whizzes can possible help a lesser able individual with a projct i hope to begin soon.


I hope to compile a cd of songs for a very dear friend. However, it will NOT simply consist of a simple tracklist i.e. one song, silence, next track etc... I hope to compile a 'lovesexy' style single track cd comprising of beat matched tracks, loops and spoken segues taken from films and me talking into a microphone.

I am very inexperienced with programs which would enable me to create such a cd. I use a pc.

Could any kind soul please advise me in simple terms what i should be using?


I also may decide to create artwork for the cd as opposed to just scribbling play me on the front of the cd case. I wonder if any aspiring graphic artists would care to work with me on creating a cd cover (again, i have the ideas, just lack the tecnical ability to make it happen).

This project means alot to me and i hope to have it compiled within the next month as i am going to lose this person for life and music is the greatest gift i can give to her.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for software to buy or help with existing software and/or recording equipment?

i have cubase on my PC but i dont really know how to use it. i have never used anything like this before.

If you just want to edit audio etc. then use 'Audacity' which is free to download. You can also import MP3 and other audio (not WMA or Midi) and then create a CD this way.
