Venues in Minneapolis?

I think his might be the best place to ask this question...

I am travelling round the states next year and one of my stop-offs will be Minneapolis. I'll be bringing my acoustic guitar with me and my aim is to write and record an album while on the road, but I also want to try and play a set in each city I go to - nuthin big now i'm talking a pub or something like that.

Could any of you recommend any places to contact that would have people doing acoustisc sets/small gigs...and also a decent recording studio??

This place is awesome! The atmosphere is bohemian with funky couches, lots of plants and trees. Its also within walking distance of where I live, so I kick it here all the time!
